On Tuesday April 5th, 2017, the Klamath community gathered to mark the Day of Hope in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. Stearns Elementary kindergarten students and the Henley High School choir attended and sang for the crowd gathered at Sugarman’s Corner in downtown Klamath Falls.
The Day of Hope celebrates a day focused on raising awareness, working with families to build nurturing relationships and preventing child abuse.
The students and other attendees received blue pinwheels at the Day of Hope. The pinwheels are the national symbol for child abuse prevention.
